ESJOT has been integrated in SMAL on April 12th 2011. A complete reorganisation of ESJOT has been undertaken successfully.

Our History
- 1921 : Creation of Esjot in Ense, Germany
- 1972 : Creation of the first company SMAL by Mister Antonio Losappio.
- 1990 : SMAL starts producing steel toe caps for Italian customers.
- 1991 : ESJOT purchases Goldenberg-Sécurité, a company set up in 1835 in Saverne, France.
- 1999 : The English group Texon purchases the ESJOT group.
- 2007 : LBO of ESJOT by the management in place.
- 2011 : On April 12th, by Court decision, all ESJOT assets are sold to SMAL.
ESJOT and SMAL are the two main brands in the world for safety toe caps and midsoles.
